It is plastic moulded and mounted on wooden board.The parts of Deoxyribonucleic acis (DNA) model iscoloured. The DNA molecule consists of two longparallel chains or stands which are joined together byshort cross bars at regular intervals. The two chainsare spirally coiled about each other to form double helix.
The bases face interior of the double helixwhereas sugar and phosphate components form a backbone on the outside. Bases are:Adenosine, Guanine, Cytosine and Thyinine. They are represented as A,G,C and T and A is linked with T whearas C with G by Hydrogen bond. |
